This fueature would be great for taking advantage of the dual processing power for the 7D, and give a huge step towards high end cameras in terms of bit depth.
WHAT IF, instead of getting a single video file, encoded thorough the h264 chip encoder... a 720p Sized raw sequence is processed through Digic processors (using the rolling shutter..)... I can only imagine this would require a 90MB/s CF card for the data transfer rates it would generate..... and would give a very limited recording time... BUT a LOT of bit depth would be achieved..
